The 2012 HHSAA Division I State Football Champion was the Kahuku Red Raider football team. The Red Raiders competed on behalf of Kahuku High School in the Red-East Division of the Oahu Interscholastic Association during the 2012 OIA Football Season. Headcoach Reggie Torres was in his 7th season with the Red Raiders. Kahuku played all their home games at Carleton Weimer Field in Kahuku, Hawaii. Kahuku ended the 2012 season winning both the OIA-Red Championship and a 2nd consecutive HHSAA Division I State Championship (of 7 total). They were ranked #1 in the state and #3 in the nation. This year marked the 7th time in team history that they have won a state championship. With a perfect 8-0 record, the Red Raiders returned to the OIA Red play-offs, securing the #1 seed, a wild card round bye, and home field advantage. Kahuku went on to defeat the Waianae Seariders, Leilehua Mighty Mules, and Mililani Trojans for the OIA Red Championship. Securing the #1 seed for the state tournament, Kahuku defeated long time rival Farrington before defeating Punahou for the second year in a row in the 2012 HHSAA State Football Championship. == Previous Season == In the 2011 season, Kahuku defeated #1 ranked Farrington High School for the Oahu Interscholastic Association Division I Championship in a rematch of a regular season game which saw the Red Raiders losing 14-13. Kahuku went on to beat Leilehua and Punahou for their 6th state championship. Kahuku ended #1 in the state and #96 in the nation.
